This animation was made for a GPS route in the province of Noord-Brabant in the Netherlands, commissioned by BKKC (Brabants Knowledge Centre for Arts and Culture).
It has been filmed on-site with my 'animatorium'. No computer animation, no stop-motion, only live filming.
Benedensas is a sea sluice gate with a long history. The animation tells in one minute how his daily job has changed in time: Make people pass from river to sea. Protect the people against the sea and the blue-green algae. Protect himself against... the people.
