After graduating in 2004 from the University of Utrecht (New Media and Digital Culture) I started working at the Netherlands Institute for Animation Film (NIAF), where I was primarily responsible for festival distribution. After that I got the chance to work for the Association for Film Theatres in Brabant (VBF), which merged in 2009 to become the current Brabants Kenniscentrum Kunst en Cultuur (bkkc). There I organized workshops, film screenings and network meetings.

In 2010 I started working at AKV|St.Joost in Breda (and currently also at the Master Institute of Visual Cultures in Den Bosch). The main topics I teach are mediatheory, visual culture and storytelling, and my work also consists of coaching research connected to the projects students are developing. I have a special interest in generative/digital art and immersive (digital) storytelling. I'm also a researcher at the Centre of Applied Research for Design, Art & Technology (CARADT), focusing on (situated) design methodology for immersive storytelling.

Alongside my work at the academy I was also a member of the Professional Arts Fund Committee (Subsidieregeling Professionele Kunsten), Brabants Kenniscentrum Kunst en Cultuur (bkkc), and an advisor on animation for the Dutch Film Fund in 2011 and 2012. I have written for multiple online magazines such as Cut-Up and Urban Mag, and also for Konkav.
